The name that they chose for her is Vicotoria Adelle Alaytonipay Compton. Each part of the name is very special. Victoria because it is just such a lovely and proper name, Adelle came from my Great Grandmother on our mom's side which allowed AesaLina, my sister and Victoria's mother, to recieve Great Grandma's wedding ring, and Alaytonipay (i don't think I am spelling that right...sorry!) comes from Richard's, (the father of victoria) tribe. He is 1/4 native american on his mom's side and Alaytonipay is part of his mom's name from the tribe as well. I think that that is truly special and really neat! So little Victoria has a name from both sides of her parent's family.

Anyway, the blessing was beautiful and it made me look forward so much to watching her grow up, even if this world is pretty horrid. I can't wait to help her parents show her that there are so many wonderful things here! Like how gorgeous the sky is and the forests, all of nature! And there is such good music from all around the world, and wonderful places to visit all around the world as well that allows us to learn of many other cultures. There is just as much laughter in this world as there is crying. And I want to help make sure that Victoria learns that.

I love babies though! she just started smiling these past couple weeks and it just makes you want to cry she is so adorable!! Her eyelashes have come in as well, and they are beautiful as well. The whole family is going to have to watch her closely when she turns 16! she is going to be gorgeous!! Just like her mother is! Oh and her little cry is so sad but it's so cute too! It makes me think that I would sprint around the world just to stop that little cry! she's a sweetheart and I love her to death! <3

Victoria is keeping the moon.....

Natural Massage...

So my family (mom, dad, bryninn, alise, tesja, and i) decided kind of spur of the moment that we were going to go camping down at Lava Hot Springs for the weekend. I LOVED IT! oh my goodness I needed that relaxing dip in natural water at temp. between 103-110 degrees! It was so nice.

we got to our campsite at around 7:00 p.m. We took the Mercedes that towed the pop-up camper, and my car. I drove there and half the way back. Driving has really started to become a second nature to me! (weird I know) Anyway, we were all very hungry so we cooked up some mean hamburgers. ( i'm talkin' about ketchup, mayo, avacado, tomatoe, letuce, etc.) It was so yummy! But once that was done, we got our swimming suits and towels so we could head down to the springs. Bryninn picked the campsite that was closest to them :) we changed and jumped in! okay so we really didn't jump, but we decided that getting in all at once, really fast, was a ton easier than taking the hot water in strides. And it created more of a "goose bump" moment. (which I absolutely love!) we all got in, including mom, which made it even better because we were all together...totally relaxed to the point of falling asleep (not the point of no return...just sleeping) we stayed in for quite a while too. I have decided that I am going to go a lot more often (pretty much like every weekend) just because I love you simple and beautiful it is there. plus you know that eight-million other teenagers there would be fun too. I kinda like meeting new people!

After our skin had about as much heat as it could handle, we went back to our campsite and prepared the ingredients to make apple-pandady and homemade ice-cream, which we cooked as fast as we could (while still making sure that it was good...even if was a little uncooked...it's good that way!) and then we ate it!!! It was probably after midnight when we actually started eating it, so we were almost too tired to eat as much as we could...almost...As always it was amazing. The perfect ending to such a nice day. (the weather had been beautiful)

The next morning, we got up and some of us warmed up some of the pandady and ate it. My stomach said "no" and I got kinda sick, but I still ate it because my taste buds said to eat it all! All packed up by noon, we headed out of the campsite and walked leisurly around the quaint town and looked at the unique shops, restaurants, (one in which we ate a yummy lunch), monuments, and the green scenery. I liked to look at all the people that walked by us when we sat down for a while. (not in a creepy way of course.) I just like to watch how different people react to different situations, how they all walk differently, and what kind of groups they were in.

All in all it was a very enjoyable weekend that we all needed. Anyone who wants to go with me 3 weekends from today, call me! They do it in romantic scenes in other movies including this one, or sad scenes. It just makes me wish that we still did stuff like that. that we payed more attention to the simple things and the things that really make life better. I wish that girls still wore dresses every day and that we danced in all the fun ways that couples did in the fifty's ("Back to the Future") I mean I do appreciate the rights that women have now, and all the opportunities that are available to everyone. And I love the freedom that we have in America, but some parts of me misses the old-fashioned things. Like their books, the concept of work that was more common, the beauty of the houses and furniture, the bigger desire to have a large family (or to have one at all), and also all the skills that a lot of women today don't have anymore. Such as stitching quilts, or hand-sewing their own clothes, home cooking, and loving themselves with a strong confidence, which let us admit, isn't prevalent as much today. There just must be a way to have both the new AND the old. If any of you have any ideas or suggestions, say them, and practice them. So many people that I know really well and are close to are engaged or married. This is so wonderful!! It started with my brother, Bryninn who married Alise, a sweet and beautiful bride, and then it was my sister, AesaLina who married Richard...the creater of the man-chair and man-cave (part of a storage room that he cleaned out and put a blanket on the ground where he can watch John Wayne videos). After that, the rings just kept commin! There was Liz, one of AesaLina's good friends from High School (and now) their engagement picture was really nice! Then there was Charity, one of AesaLina's previous roommates. (and who now has a cute baby girl!!) After that, there was London Reese who married a nice man named Blair and they now reside in Texas. (how fun!) Then there is the new engagment of Becca, me and AesaLina's 3rd sister, (really, really close friend) who is going to marry a man who is just perfect for her and from what I hear, adores her! Not to mention the engagements of my 2 cousins, Arrian and Braydon Forebush, who are getting married this summer to wonderful girls that are already really close friends=family!

It is just so wonderful to see people finding their eternal companions and going to the Temple! It just makes me so warm inside. I look forward to the day when I am able to do the same thing. AND YOU ALL BETTER BE THERE! hehe. anyway, I am going to go eat Calm Chowder now (which is absolutely amazing if I do say so myself, mommy is SO good at cooking!!) and good luck to all of you romantic couples that I have mentioned, (and others that I may have missed)

THAT...is keeping the Moon

The Class...

So I am signing up to take a foreign language online through BYU independent study for high school students and I will be taking Spanish!! I am really excited but nervous as well because I need to pass this to be able to graduate...but i'm sure i'll do fine. Bryninn is here too so he will be able to help me practice everything, especially speaking it.

I want to be able to learn as much of this language as possible because I have a huge desire to do a semester abroad for college in Spain. That is my favorite country that i've ever been to. I just loved the people there, the food, and the history. Each city is gorgeous in its own way, whether it is old or brand spankin' new. That would just be the perfect learning enviornment for me I think.

Other than the language I am trying to complete my hunter's safety so when I shoot my gun now...it won't be illegal and i'll actually be able to "bring in the meat" one year if I am able to get a tag. But so many people in our family apply for one that I am sure i'll at least be able to go for the experiance even if I won't be able to get a deer...unless my finger just slips on the trigger of a gun that I just happened to be holding when a large buck just happened to cross our path...then there might be a deer in the back of our truck! Yea okay i'm joking. But it's fun to get excited about getting this license.

Speeking of...I have finally found time to get my actual license so I can drive myself to all my lessons and my jobs. (poor mom is worn to the end of her tether with taking me to all my crazy classes, jobs, and such) I could have gotten it about a year and a half ago, but I just have never had time, and I also never had a car. But now it's summer and I do in fact have AesaLina's car which is mine now so things are looking up in that situation.

Ultimatly, it seems that learning never ends. But I am completely fine with that. I love to learn whether it is a life lesson or some random fact on the origin of the first grandfather clock or something silly but interesting like that. although...I am not a fan of biology so I am very glad that that is over! and I won't even have to suffere through chemistry either...I am taking a horticulture class next year at ISU for some of my science credits. I am really excited!

But I am tired now...and need my sleep so that I am able to deal with trying to organize my room...oh boy what a job this has turned out to be...but it will be wonderful!

sweet dreams.

The Beginning with Baby and Family

This is the beginning of my blog that will document my life for years to come...or until I start to forget to update it every time something amazing happens...(which is pretty much every day to me...) Anyway, this summer is going to be an amazing one, just like it already has been. The first week of my summer, I have been down in Pleasant Grove to stay with AesaLina, Richard, and of course the little angel herself...baby Victoria!

oh my goodness, she is such a drool-bucket! But she is truly the cutest baby! But of course...this makes sense because she came from AesaLina and Richard! we had many little trips with the little girl such as to Target, Applebee's, the craft store, DI, and the pool! she didn't get in of course, but Richard and I were in there for 2 hours.

we were supposed to be exercising (swimming laps) which I did splendidly...except later my arms killed because of being sore from weights that I had done the days before this...but anyway, Richard just sat around in the hot tub, throwing random toys that he found around the chairs at me while I was trying to do something constructinve, but eventually I just stopped and we ended up having quite a water fight where he ended up dragging me down to the bottom and scraping my knee against the concrete. I have a pretty awsome bruise, although it doesn't FEEL awsome, it looks that way. But it's okay because I got him back when he was spraying me with cold water from a hose...I tried to get it away from him and accidentally scratched his hand pretty bad...it's actually quite a deep gash...but we're even now.

AesaLina came down later when we called her to come and play with us and while she was down, Victoria slept nicely, while Richard and I raced to dive for rocks and nalgene water bottles that AesaLina strategically threw. we would be outside the pool...Sena's rules...standing on the edge and we had to jump in to start racing. well, the first time we experimented with this arrangement, I kinda did a serious jump that kinda hurt the entire front of my body because it was a belly-flop. (Atractive I know) It was an accident of course because I knew that we weren't allowed to dive, and knowing my luck, if I did we would get caught and banned from the pool for the whole summer...so I just kinda blindly jumped and ended up squirming around in the water laughing in pain. It was really funny. But I won that round! (Richard was laughing to hard to dive...laughing at me...how rude) it was a really fun day. But...

Richard got SOOO sunburnt! his shoulders and neck were completely red...I luckily didn't get sunburnt because i'm substantially shorter than he is so my whole body was under the water practically the whole time. so I feel fine and Richard is getting better with pounds and pounds of Aloe gel all over his back.

All in all it has been a wonderful week with many happy moments. but my most favorite I think would have to be when AesaLina and Richard went grocery shopping and left little Victoria with men. she was asleep in her bed but right after they left, she woke up. so I went and got her, and walked around with her in my arms bouncing her gently. she was so very tired but just couldn't get to sleep. so I did with her what I do to myself, I began to sing to her. I sang her my favorite songs that I had sung in choir this last school year and then some hymns that I had memorized. It felt so good to sing to someone so innocent, not having to worry about whether my voice sounded good or not at the time. I just sang which gives me the most wonderful feeling in the world. she dozed off every once in a while while I sang and when Sena and Richard got back she wasn't asleep but she was quiet and still.
